Arshdeep Singh Sign Up With Kent For County Championship 2023

India fast-bowler Arshdeep Singh will be plying his trade in the County Championship after signing up a deal with Kent for the 2023 season. The English outfit confirmed the development on Friday (March 17).

Kent have now signed up three overseas players for the upcoming season. Before securing Arshdeep Singh’s services, they had signed up South Africa’s George Linde and Australia’s Kane Richardson. While Linde will return to Kent to play as all the three formats as part of the two-year deal he had signed, Richardson will only ply his trade in the shortest format of the game.

As far as Arshdeep Singh is concerned, he will be available to play five matches in June and July, subject to regulatory approval. This will be his first stint in the County Championship.

“We’re delighted to have a player of Arshdeep’s potential join us for five matches this Summer,” Kent’s Director of Cricket, Paul Downton, said.

“He has demonstrated that he has world class skills with the white ball, and I am very confident he will be able to put those skills to good use with the red ball in the County Championship,” he added.
